Scabal Industry Project

Winner: Portfolio Presentation

Tasked with completing a half-scale two piece bespoke outfit within the confines of COVID, my industry-sponsored project was comparing the Post-WWII fashion rationing and unfeminine silhouettes with today's slouchy, oversized comfort wear that is equally unfeminine. Christian Dior's solution was the New Look for his fashion revolution, and I endeavored to transform this concept in the present, for a much needed (Round 2) Roaring 20s New Look.

The jacket was fully completed, but the dress was first fit ready for the project, and has since been completed.

Below are photos of the piece on display in Scabal's London Savile Row shop window. I was displayed alongside fellow classmates and showcased in process on a video, where you can watch from the link below.

Future Artisans Project

Choosing a simulated female philanthropist as a client, I endeavored to create a historically inspired jacket for her many philanthropic events. She desires a very unique and elegant piece that she can't find anywhere else, and will be able to wear and treasure. These photos show it done but some hand finishing, which was completed later.
