My final year tailoring dissertation was closely connected to my collection. I deeply researched Elizabeth I, and the iconography that kept her in power and has made her reverberate through the centuries. Tudor dress was highly symbolic and the most powerful political tool of its time. This dissertation is the start of my continuing research on Elizabeth, for future plans in academia that I realized while passionately researching.
