Alleine ii is a continuation of my making journey.
In learning the next step in my craft, bespoke tailoring, I saw my aesthetic shape into a niche of historically inspired dress. With my passion for period fashion and respect for history, my final project revealed itself as a bespoke collection for HRH the Princess of Wales, for her future role as the Queen Consort. Her timeless but iconic style is revered, and creating a modernly infused, historically inspired tailored collection will legitimize her position. Inspiration comes from the dress of the Queens past, with a Tudor focus. Portraits of these famous Queens are all that's left to tell us of their struggle for power, their tricky personalities, and of course their dress. These pieces will reflect them as much as the Princess, and immortalize them further for their sacrifices that limited them in their time. The Duchess' position as patron of the National Portrait Gallery further connects this symbolic concept and reflects the events she would wear this collection at.
